Our first block photo has arrived!

I hope everyone is as excited as I am now, after seeing the fabrics and the center panel! This is really going to be a beautiful quilt. I'm really looking forward to all of your War of 1812 ancestor and research stories, and I think the commemorative book will be inspirational! (Everyone who participates will get a copy of the book in PDF form.)

A few things to remember as you work on your quilt blocks - Every block submission will also need to include the Google form and a photo, preferably digital, of you holding your completed quilt block.  And while the deadline for finishing the quilt blocks isn't until late February 2016, we've received the first photo from Lorraine Kish, of the two blocks that she's already completed. Aren't they beautiful!!!

Please check the posts on this blog or the Facebook page if you have questions, or feel free to email us at geneaquilters1812@gmail.com.

And please share our quilt flyer as often as you can! Email us if you need or want a PDF copy in either full or halfpage size.  Anyone can participate in this Star-Spangled Banner Quilt project by either by making a quilt block, submitting ancestor research stories, or by contributing financially through our PayPal account.  All monetary donations will be given directly to the War of 1812 Preserve the Pensions fund at the end of the project, to further their work of digitizing those wonderful pension files!
